Meet Our Team

Jim has been a hairdresser for over 30 years. In his free time he enjoys spending time with his friends and family as well as training for triathlons.

Mark moved to Murfreesboro in the spring of 1985 to pursue his career in hairdressing. He continues to strive to provide a great work environment and the best of services.

Emily started working at Tangerine in 2008 at 18 years old, but grew up in the salon industry with her parents and uncle. She spent 6 years on the desk while attending MTSU and obtaining her degree in business administration with a minor in finance and economics (she loves mathematics and accounting). She moved to Destin, FL for a couple years, but returned back to Murfreesboro and Tangerine in 2017 and been here ever since! In her free time, she loves hanging out with her husband Marc, son Charlie, and their 3 big dogs.

Kari has been caring for our guests since January of 2011. She is a graduate of MTSU, where she earned her degree in Psychology. She enjoys helping people and solving problems. She loves hiking and adventuring, but most of all spending time with her husband and three children, Oliver, Rose, and Violet!

Amie came to Tangerine in June 2007 shortly after marrying the love of her life and best friend. Motivated by her faith and two small children, she enjoys the opportunity to truly touch the lives of everyone she meets. She loves giving her guests the best possible experience and strives to be a “daymaker” to everyone who sits in her chair.

Kailey began her career at Tangerine in August of 2022 after graduating from Aveda Institute of Cosmetology Nashville. She has always had a passion for hair and is thrilled to have joined the team! Kailey excels at blowouts, balayage and blonding techniques.

Allie started her career at Tangerine March of 2023 and is thrilled to join the team bringing her seasoned expertise in skin and nail care after 5 years in the industry. She graduated from Paul Mitchell the School in Murfreesboro in 2018 where she found her passion for serving as a nail guru, creating unique nail art for any occasion, and following alongside her client’s nail care journey.

Johna graduated from the Paul Mitchell school in 2022, and has been in the hair industry ever since. She enjoys making a positive impact on people’s lives and building relationships.

Katelyn has been serving guests at Tangerine since 2020. She graduated from TCAT with Aesthetics and loves helping guests with all of their skin care needs, especially skin treatments!

Ashlynn joined Tangerine in September of 2018. She grew up in Wartrace, TN where she spends lots of time on the family farm. She is a graduate of Paul Mitchell the School in Murfreesboro and she specializes in grey coverage, lived-in blonde looks, Brazilian Blowouts and long hair cuts.

Charity graduated from TCAT’s Cosmetology program in December of 2022 and is delighted to be a part of our team! She strives to beautify skin and nails by taking care of her clients and helping them meet their needs and wants. Charity is adament about furthering her education and introducing new services to our salon, while embracing our salon culture!

Molly is a graduate of Aveda Institute Nashville. As a Murfreesboro resident, Molly started her career at her home salon while bringing her stealthy technique and strong eye for detail to the Tangerine team. Molly specializes in fashion colors, short cuts and balayage.

Melissa started at Tangerine in 2017, and has been a hairstylist since 2012. She has always had a love for the hair and beauty industry. She is the mother of a beautiful girl and enjoys concerts and spending time outdoors. Melissa genuinely enjoys spending time with her clients while making them look and feel beautiful. Melissa specializes in short cuts, men’s cuts, blonding, balayage, grey coverage, and extensions.

Connie graduated from Toni & Guy Hairdressing Academy in Dallas, TX and honed her cut and color techniques at the Aveda Institute of Cosmetology. Connie is a certified Brazillian Blowout specialist, and her passion to serve is exemplified in the attention to detail she gives to all of her clients. Connie is blessed with a loving husband and two beautiful daughters. She enjoys spending time with her family and worshiping at World Outreach Church.

Kelly was born and raised in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. She moved to Minneapolis in 2003 to attend the Aveda Institute of Cosmetology. She has been with Tangerine since May 2005. She is hard working and genuinely passionate about making each client look and feel good about themselves.

Liz is a Murfeesboro native and joined Tangerine in November 2019. Her continued education has allowed her to find a passion in handtied and tape-in extensions, as well as blonding services. Liz strives to create a fun service experience while also gifting her clients with the hair they desire!

Nancy Smith, LMT, MLD-C, completed her massage therapy training in San Antonio, Texas in 2007. She has loved living in Tennessee for over 13 years. She has a passion for learning and continued her education earning her certification in manual lymphatic drainage. Her work is therapeutically driven and she is committed to the health and well-being of her clients.

Bri moved to Murfreesboro from Atlanta, Ga in May of 2019 after Graduating from The Keune Academy. She loves blonding, balayage, highlights & fashion colors. She is also certified in hand-tied and tape in Vomor extensions. She is passionate about learning new ways to make her clients look & feel beautiful! Suzanna began at Tangerine in March of 2023. She is currently a senior at PCA and enjoys being outside and spending time with friends!

Ella started working at Tangerine in June of 2023. She loves the family that Tangerine comes with, and loves greeting everyone at the front desk to start off their visit. She loves to get outdoors and have fun!

Samantha started working at Tangerine in May 2023 to pursue her career in the beauty industry. She graduated from TCAT in aesthetics and is thrilled to continue helping others feel beautiful and confident!

Kelcy joined her Tangerine family in January of 2023. She enjoys meeting guests needs and going the extra mile to make sure they had a happy experience. She loves pursuing her love of art and spending time with her family and friends!
